How did we start

On Saturday 2nd May 1998 a small group of ministers in Doncaster met together and committed themselves to pray regularly for the town. Initially the group consisted of just 8 ministers from 8 denominations.

The Birth of the Ministers Prayer Fellowship:

On Wednesday 13th May 1998 at 7.00am the group met for the first time to pray for Doncaster. From small beginnings that group grew and became known as the Doncaster Ministers Prayer Fellowship, which continues to meet and pray together.

Prayer Meeting Times: Ministers and Church Leaders meet each Wednesday at 7.00am for prayer at Christchurch Church, Doncaster.

The Doncaster Ministers Prayer Fellowship forms the core group of One Heart One Voice. Today One Heart One Voice exists as a wider network of strategic leadership relationships across the borough of Doncaster.

The focus for the Doncaster Ministers Prayer Fellowship is:

Commitment to pray for the town
Commitment to pray for each other
Commitment to developing relationships at leadership level

The Doncaster Ministers Prayer Fellowship works along side Mission Doncaster providing a prayer platform and leadership base from which town-wide initiatives can grow and flourish.

Mission Doncaster acts as an umbrella organisation providing administrative and financial support (eg: banking, addressing child protection issues, liability insurance, publicity services, training, etc). Mission Doncaster exists to help local Churches develop closer relationships, joined up thinking, and a shared vision for our town.
